Session 3 – Capitol Reef : July 6-11, 2025 – $1,025

Truly escape the city and dive into the desert with us as we hike the canyons, creeks, and nearby forests of Capitol Reef National Park. The sets of trails we explore on this trip are perfect for introducing your participant to hiking and backpacking in the desert. This trip comprises day and overnight backpacking hikes, allowing participants and staff to build a trip that perfectly fits the group.

Session 4 – Rocky Mountain National Park : July 13-18, 2025 – $1,025

Head East to our neighboring state of Colorado! This trip will bring your participant on a beautiful journey among mountains, lakes, and waterfalls. Participants will enjoy a 20 mile trip (not including and side hikes the crew wants to make) along the North Inlet trail and end at the gorgeous Lake Nokoni!

Session 5 – Mirror Lake : July 20-25, 2025 – $930

A perfect trip for beginner backpackers, BOLD & GOLD Backpacking Mirror Lake will surely make memories that will last a lifetime. Starting and ending at Mirror Lake, this backpacking loop will take participants on a journey touring the Highline, Duchesne, and Mirror Lake Trails. Hike along energizing rivers, sit with calming lakes, and marvel at majestic mountains with us as you immerse yourself in nature with this beautiful route.

Session 6 – Notch Trail : July 27-August 1, 2025 – $930

Explore the beauty of the Uinta Mountains on this scenic backpacking trip of a lifetime as you hike through the iconic “notch” of Notch Mountain. This winding trail offers the perfect opportunity to introduce your participant to experiencing nature in awe-inspiring remote settings. There are multiple forks along the route, allowing the participants and staff to handcraft a trip that perfectly fits the group, exploring the area’s pristine lakes or summiting Bald Mountain!

Session 7 – Rock Climbing : August 3-8, 2025 – $1,250

Build your rock climbing skills with us as we climb cliffs overlooking calm lakes on the Notch Mountain Trail. Learn the fundamentals of outdoor rock climbing and belaying as you enjoy sight-seeing from heights that will expand your perspectives. There are multiple levels of rock climbing at each site that will give your participant the perfect learning experience for their current skill level. The team will be joined by experts from Summit Journeys to lead them through 3 days of climbing over the course of their week in the backcountry.

Session 8 – King’s Peak : August 10-15, 2025 – $930

Challenge yourself with this journey to summit Kings Peak, the tallest mountain peak in Utah! This trip is designed for intermediate or advanced participants who enjoy backpacking and want to reach new heights as they make lifelong memories together. The Kings Peak trip offers the perfect opportunity to try your hand at a more rigorous route with the full support of our BOLD & GOLD instructors and logistics team.

Ages 12-14

Session 3 – Intro to Backpacking : July 6-11, 2025

Our Introduction to Backpacking program focuses on giving our campers the skills to backpack while in the front country at YMCA Mill Hollow on Sunday and Monday, while taking on a 3-day, 2-night beginner level backpacking trip Tuesday through Thursday. No equipment is required – we will provide the gear, and your camper will provide a thirst for adventure!

Session 4 – Intro to Pack and Paddle : July 13-18, 2025

Our Introduction to Pack and Paddle trip is an introductory excursion meant for those campers who love water and the joys of camping with new friends! Join your Mill Hollow counselors as well as Summit Journeys to enjoy a week of honing your water skills at camp then putting them to practice with a 3 day, 2 night pack and paddle camping trip!

Session 6 – Intro to Climbing : July 27-August 1, 2025

Our Introduction to Rock Climbing program focuses on giving our campers the skills and confidence to climb! This program will be a blend of a few nights at Mill Hollow and two nights camping near climbing sites. Campers will join their counselors and experts from Summit Journeys to spend 3 days climbing in the Uintas. No equipment is required – we will provide the gear, and your camper will provide a thirst for adventure!

Little Millies are certainly the cutest campers in the canyon. Designed for our youngest participants to get them acclimated to camp life, Little Millies is a one-night, 2-day experience at YMCA Mill Hollow for explorers ages 5-6 years old. Check in starts at 9:15 am on Thursday mornings and check out is with the rest of camp at 2:00 pm on Friday afternoon. This camp is the perfect experience of summer camp for first-timers! To keep them extra safe,  Little Millies will not participate in any activities involving boats – but trust us, there’s SO MUCH fun to be had!

Ages 7-9

Designed for our campers who aren’t quite ready to spend an entire week away from home, our 3-Day camp experience offers the same kind of fun in a shorter amount of time. 3-Day camp campers with check in will be on Sundays and check out on Wednesdays (an email regarding times will be sent to you in advance of your camp week!) 3-Day campers will get to experience archery, orienteering, arts and crafts, geology, survival skills, water-based programs and so much more during their time at YMCA Mill Hollow. While we believe 3-Day camp is the perfect opportunity for first-time campers, we are sure they’ll return home ready for so much more time on the mountain!

Mini Camp – TO Transportation ONLY Available

Ages 11-13

Outdoor Adventure Camp allows our growing campers to pursue adventure while retaining the comforts of staying at YMCA Mill Hollow. Campers will take on unique outdoor challenges off-site of camp in the Uinta Mountains Monday through Thursday, while returning to camp each night to enjoy dinner and evening program activities at YMCA Mill Hollow. Groups who hone their skills well over the week can also have a camp-out night near Mill Hollow!

Ages 13-17

NEW TO THIS YEAR. This past summer, a group of campers came forward as they were sad that they were aging out of the traditional camp program. These campers were not so interested in a leadership program or excursions . . . so we present to you– TEEN WEEK! Teens from the ages of 13-17 who register for this unique week will have the opportunity to enjoy traditional camp with a twist. The typical program offerings will still be available with the same amazing staff on site. However, campers during teen week will get to build their own activity schedules with options not typically available to traditional camp (such as more complicated crafts, longer hikes, overnight camping, more sports– the possibilities are endless)!

Ages 8-14

Traditional Camp provides an opportunity for campers to participate in the wide range of activities offered at YMCA Mill Hollow, including archery, orienteering, arts and crafts, ecology, geology, survival skills, water-based programs and so much more! We love traditional camp because it offers the best “all around” camping experience! This is the kind of experience residential camping was made for!  As an added bonus, you can connect select traditional camp sessions with another camp session with a weekend stay over to DOUBLE the fun!

This pricing option is available to anyone for our Overnight Camps. We offer three pricing levels to better accommodate all financial needs. Please consider selecting the highest tier that your family can afford to allow YMCA Camp Roger & Mill Hollow to utilize this funding to ensure the quality of each camper’s experience. The price you select does not impact your camper’s experience in any way.

• Tier A: $765 Most accurately reflects the true and actual cost of camp.
• Tier B: $740 A partially subsidized rate, but more closely reflects the actual cost of camp.
• Tier C: $715 Our historically standard rate which does not represent the true cost of camp. This rate is subsidized by the YMCA through fundraising, special events, and contributions.
