The YMCA of Northern Utah has 3 Yurts available for rent during the program off-season! These yurts are equipped to hold up to 8-12 people. Each has a unique and picturesque view of the Wasatch Mountain range and is the perfect place to explore the winter wonderland! For more information about the Yurt amenities, please click here. Tuesday night rentals are not available to allow the YMCA to restock the provisions in the Yurts.
YMCA Mill Hollow - Daily Yurt Rental
You can now rent the best hidden gem in Utah at YMCA Mill Hollow! Our yurt is located 6 miles from the parking area and worth every footstep (snowshoe, ski, or snow mobile) it takes to get there.
The trek to the yurt covers the first 4 miles on a snow-packed road before turning off to a summer dirt road. The trail to the yurt begins at Noblett’s trailhead, which is on SR35 at the point where it is closed for winter. This backcountry starting point can be swarmed with snowmobiles and the route to the yurt can be a snowmobile freeway, so if you’re looking for a yurt with snowmobile access, you’ve come to the right place! The South Fork of the Provo River runs near the road/trail for the first 3.5 miles. Frozen crystal snow banks along with the gurgle of the unfrozen water breaking through the ice make the jaunt more scenic and pleasant. A variety of terrain surrounds the yurt providing nice snowshoeing as well as some fun open slopes for skiing. Our Yurt is outfitted with solar if needed – we are powered by GoalZero!
The rental period is for 24 hours. Check-in is at 2pm on the first day of your rental, and check-out is at 12pm (noon) on the day following the last day of your rental
